The Saturday Program at The Neighborhood Playhouse Junior School is dedicated to giving young actors of all levels of training the same rigorous, dynamic instruction offered in the adult conservatory and summer workshops & studios. All students train in the core principles of acting, singing, and dancing. Older students are introduced to the Meisner Technique, the foundation of acting taught at the Neighborhood Playhouse, and geared toward appropriate age levels. Young actors will use the skills learned in their acting classes and apply them to Scene Study, Voice & Speech, Song Interpretation, Dance, Auditioning, Acting for Film & Television, Commercials, and much more. Students starting 2nd -12 grades in the fall may apply for a tour & interview. There is a one time $50 application fee for new students.

Please note that placement in Groups is at the discretion of the Junior School Director. Some ages and grades overlap. We keep grade, age, and maturity of the child in mind when placements are made.
