Nathaniel Taylor-Leach
Sketch Comedy
Nathaniel Taylor-Leach is a New York City native and an actor, teacher and writer. He is an alumnus of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (Outstanding Graduate from Drama Studio) and the Theatre Education B.A. program of Emerson College (Honor’s Trustee Scholarship). He is a proud recipient of a Richard and Mica Hadar Foundation Scholarship and a 2007 NFAA youngARTS Finalist in Theatre. Nathaniel completed his student teaching at LaGuardia, where he taught classes and assistant directed a show in the Spring Drama Festival. Since then, Nathaniel has taught hundreds of students from 5 to 18 years old from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in Boston, Maryland, and New York City.
Nathaniel was the Performing Arts Instructor for the Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation after-school program at PS 65 in Brooklyn. Nathaniel also teaches kids and teens at Main Street Theatre and Dance Alliance on Roosevelt Island where he directs the annual spring musical. Nathaniel is an actor and member of the sketch comedy group Dinner For One, which performs regularly at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade and the People’s Improv Theater. Most recently they completed filming their original sitcom Life Sucks, for which he is an actor and creative consultant. Nathaniel was proud to cast some of his own students in prominent roles. He is honored to be a member of the Neighborhood Playhouse family and strives to honor the school's storied history one young actor at a time.
