Melanie Futorian
Dance/Movement
Melanie Futorian is a choreographer, instructor and dancer. Her choreography was featured at Harlem Arts Festival Main Stage, The Martha Graham Studio Theatre for “Next at Graham,” the Amazon Prime film, “Creeporia" (by John Semper who was writer/director of TV’s “Spiderman”) and she was an instructor /choreographer for an Alvin Ailey summer program.
Melanie was a guest instructor/choreographer for Emotions Physical Theatre @ Baryshnikov Studios, American Youth Dance Theatre, the M.I.T Dance Troupe, Harlem Children’s Theatre Company and various NY, Boston and Miami dance studios.
Some of her dance experience includes Forces of Nature, Haitian American Dance Theatre, Ballet Theatre of Boston, Manhattan Opera Theatre Company, Linda Diamond Company and others. She has certification from the Lester Horton Teacher Workshop at The Ailey School.
Melanie has also been a camera woman for The United Nations, CNN News, MTV and a photographer for major New York dance companies and Grammy awarded musicians. She’s delighted to be on board with the Neighborhood Playhouse !
