Acting for Film, TV, VOs, Commercials
LUCAS ATKINS was born and raised in San Antonio, where his parents still abide.  He had acted in 26 school, regional, and professional theatre productions by the time he graduated from high school.  Armed with a lot of practical experience, Lucas knew he needed to be grounded in a technique that would strengthen his skills as an actor and came to the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse in 2013, graduating in 2015.  He has already worked with acclaimed directors and actors, including work on "A New Brain" for renowned director, James Lapine. He recently finished a successful run of "Spike Heels" at The Secret Theater. Additional credits include "A Crime To Remember" for Discovery Channel and two feature films currently in postproduction.  Armed with the Meisner method and unique on camera techniques learned at Neighborhood Playhouse, Lucas lends an aggressive, effective, up to date perspective on how to successfully navigate the acting industry.  As a singularly well-trained young artist establishing his career, he is a promising manifestation of the professional actor's first dream. Students in his classes exercise techniques that enable them to make specific character choices that command attention.  Many of these techniques are one of a kind, singularly enriching our talented students and adding to the prestige that New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse has enjoyed since its inception.
