Alexander Technique/Voice & Speech
Gary has vast experience in Alexander Technique, Vocal Coaching, and Performing. His education includes an MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University (Scholarship Program) and a BFA from Stephens College (Scholarship Program). He also has Technical Training under Jacklyn Maddux; is a Certified Alexander Technique Teacher (ACAT); and worked with renowned Breathing Coordinators' Drs. Carl Stough and Jessica Wolf. Gary's client list includes: Ethan Hawke (Broadway production of "Macbeth"); Tom Skerrit (Broadway production of "A Time to Kill"); Colin Quinn (Broadway production "Long Story Short" directed and produced by Jerry Seinfeld); Victoria Clark (Vivian Beaumont's "The Light in the Piazza" - Tony Award Winner); and Siobhan Fallon (one-woman show, "Momma", Atlantic Theatre Company).
As a Dialect Coach he has worked with Priscilla Lopez in her one-woman show "Class Mothers '68" at the Clurman Theatre; and Judith Ivey in "Mrs. Dally Has A Lover at the Westbeth Theatre, among others. As an actor he has appeared Off-Broadway, Regionally, and abroad, including playing Bum Phillips in "Bum Phillips All American Opera." In addition to the Neighborhood Playhouse, Gary teaches at St. Mary's College, Leap College, and various adult and children's theatre workshops around town. He currently is singing opera regionally and internationally.
