The Neighborhood Playhouse Junior School has been a vibrant force in young actor training for over 100 years. It has an extensive history of working with children and young adults - graduates of the adult & children's programs have made a tradition of enrolling their children and grandchildren in the NP Junior School.
Students learn acting and performance skills in a nurturing and creative environment with faculty who are experts in their field of study. The focus is on empowering young people with self confidence and the tools necessary to express dramatic circumstances with truth and clarity. Every student is given equal amounts of classroom exercises, teacher feedback, class participation, and performance time. Students train in the core principles of acting and apply the techniques and skilled learned in various classes including Meisner Acting, Movement, Dance, Singing, Voice & Diction, Acting a Song, Improvisation, Film & Television, Commercials - all to build their voices and bodies in order to be stronger actors! All classes are designed to provide NP Juniors opportunity to translate their acting through various performance mediums.

"I just want to thank you again for creating such a nurturing and wonderful learning environment at the Neighborhood Playhouse Junior School. Anders passion flourished while acquiring more skill and creative expression with the intensity and exposure that the Summer Teen Program offered. He woke up each morning eager to start the day with the shared joy of the group." ~Barbara, NP Juniors Parent
