B.A., College of the Holy Cross, English
M.A., Hunter College, Theatre – Creative and Developmental Drama

Kat is an experienced theatre teacher who has been providing a strong foundation for young actors for 20 years.    Her extensive background, versatility and patience give her the tools to reach a wide range of children and young adults.

Kat is the director of the Neighborhood Playhouse Junior School in New York City  Among Kat’s former students are successful actors in New York and L.A.

Under the tutelage of Pat Sternberg at Hunter College, Kat studied sociodrama and the power that role play can hold in increasing young people’s emotional intelligence.  Kat’s work has one goal: to build life and performance skills simultaneously.  Students who understand performing arts build an intuitive sense of the world, which enables them to become strong performers and even stronger adults.

Currently, Kat lives in Metuchen with her husband and three children and teaches the enrichment classes at the Metuchen YMCA.
