Kat is an experienced theatre
teacher who has been providing a strong foundation for young actors
for 20 years. Her extensive background, versatility
and patience give her the tools to reach a wide range of children and
young adults.
Kat is the director of the
Neighborhood Playhouse Junior School in New York City Among Kat’s former students are
successful actors in New York and L.A.
Under the tutelage of Pat Sternberg
at Hunter College, Kat studied sociodrama and the power that role play
can hold in increasing young people’s emotional intelligence.
Kat’s work has one goal: to build life and performance skills simultaneously.
Students who understand performing arts build an intuitive sense of
the world, which enables them to become strong performers and even stronger
adults.
Currently, Kat lives in Metuchen
with her husband and three children and teaches the enrichment classes
at the Metuchen YMCA.
